Spring into Beauty: Day Sixteen – Eat Nuts

Oh yeah, I said it. Shove those nuts right in your mouth. Healthy nuts are filled with Omega-3 fatty acids which not only are fantastic for your heart but also are great for your skin.

Healthy nuts such as walnuts, flax seeds and soybeans (I know, not technically a nut but whatever) help to tone down inflammation inside the body. This can reduce irritations such as eczema, psoriasis and some acne. Don’t expect to eat 12 nuts and have all your skin problems to go away though, this is just something that will help out and you’ll need to continue with them in your diet to see results.

These fats also help the body produce their natural oils in proper amounts. The oils help to keep skin hydrated and soft; which are both things that everyone wants… obviously. I don’t know too many people who ask for dry, flaking skin… I don’t know anyone who asks for that.

You can also find these fats in sardines and salmon. These can be eaten as a main dish (obviously) the sardines can be added to a Caesar salad, the nuts can be eaten plain, added to salads or deserts, basically just whatever.

So oomp up on yo nuts, ladies!
