Baking Soda

This stuff is freaking amazing. It’s been around for so long now, and it’s so cheap, but it does everything from hair to pits to skin, I’ll let you know how it goes.

Mix 3 scoops of baking soda with one scoop of water to make a paste and rub it into your skin for a quick exfoliant to remove dead skin cells. If you’d like to nourish your skin at the same time, add a little ground oatmeal in. The baking soda isn’t so abrasive that it will harm your skin, but it’s coarse enough that it can remove the dead skin cells and leave you with a fresh exfoliated glow. Only exfoliate 2 times a week.

Have product buildup in your hair? I know I get that quite often. Put shampoo in your hair, then top your head off with a big glob of dry baking soda and rub it in as good as you can, massaging it into your scalp. It will help to cleanse your hair and break down that buildup. Try this once a week or so if you don’t get great results right away.

Those pearly whites not very pearly? Wet your toothbrush and brush with baking soda instead of toothpaste for a few days. This will help to exfoliate the plaque off your teeth and help to whiten skin as well. You could also mix it with some water to make yourself a refreshing, alcohol free mouthwash.

Do your pits stink? Well have a shower. Haha no but seriously if you use baking soda instead of deoderant it will absorb the odor instead of masking it. I don’t know what it would be like to have baking soda on your armpits, or what it would look like, but hopefully it wouldn’t be too bad.

Yay baking soda! Do you have any more baking soda tips? Let me know =]
